“The Antichrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers. He will wear no red tights, nor vomit sulfur, nor carry a trident nor wave an arrowed tail as the Mephistopheles in Faust.
He will be clever, possessing exceptional political, social, and economic knowledge. He will disguise himself as a great humanitarian; he will talk peace, prosperity, and plenty not as means to lead us to God, but as ends in themselves.
He will write books on the new idea of God to suit the way people live. He will induce faith in astrology so as to make not the will but the stars responsible for our sins. He will explain guilt away psychologically as repressed sex, make men shrink in shame if their fellow men say they are not broad-minded and liberal.
He will be so broad-minded as to identify tolerance with indifference to right and wrong, truth and error.
He will spread the lie that men will be saved without repentance, without faith, and without obedience.
He will tempt Catholics with the same three temptations with which he tempted Christ: the temptation to turn stones into bread as an earthly Messianism; to rule the world with Satan’s authority; and to abandon worship of God for the worship of man.
He will set up a counter-church, which will be the ape of the Church, because he, the devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content.

"L'Anticristo non si chiamerà così, altrimenti non avrebbe seguaci. Non indosserà una calzamaglia rossa, non vomiterà zolfo, non porterà un tridente né agiterà una coda di frecce come Mefistofele nel Faust.
Sarà intelligente, in possesso di eccezionali conoscenze politiche, sociali ed economiche. Si camufferà da grande umanitario; parlerà di pace, prosperità e abbondanza non come mezzi per condurci a Dio, ma come fini in sé.
Scriverà libri sulla nuova idea di Dio per adattarsi al modo in cui la gente vive. Indurrà la fede nell'astrologia in modo da rendere responsabile dei nostri peccati non la volontà ma le stelle. Spiegherà il senso di colpa come sesso represso, farà sì che gli uomini si vergognino se i loro simili dicono che non sono di larghe vedute e liberali.
Sarà così di larghe vedute da identificare la tolleranza con l'indifferenza verso il bene e il male, la verità e l'errore.
Diffonderà la menzogna che gli uomini saranno salvati senza pentimento, senza fede e senza obbedienza.
Tenterà i cattolici con le stesse tre tentazioni con cui tentò Cristo: la tentazione di trasformare le pietre in pane come messianismo terreno, di governare il mondo con l'autorità di Satana e di abbandonare il culto di Dio per il culto dell'uomo.
Egli istituirà una contro-chiesa, che sarà la scimmia della Chiesa, perché lui, il diavolo, è la scimmia di Dio. Avrà tutte le note e le caratteristiche della Chiesa, ma al contrario e svuotata del suo contenuto divino. Sarà un corpo mistico dell'Anticristo che in tutto e per tutto assomiglierà al corpo mistico di Cristo".
